Samsung Galaxy Fit 4 Spotted in SIRIM Database, Signalling Imminent Launch

While digging through certification databases today, I spotted a new listing that confirms Samsung is officially bringing its next-generation fitness band to Southeast Asia. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Fit 4 has just passed through Malaysia’s regulatory body, SIRIM.

The device appears under the model number SM-R391 and was officially approved on October 16, 2026. The listing names SAMSUNG MALAYSIA ELECTRONICS (SME) SDN. BHD. as the certificate holder, registering the device as a “FITNESS TRACKER”.

Here are the details from the official SIRIM certification record:

  • Certificate Holder: SAMSUNG MALAYSIA ELECTRONICS (SME) SDN. BHD.

  • Model / Marketing Name: SM-R391 (Galaxy Fit4)

  • Brand: SAMSUNG

  • Type Approval Code: RGHS/24A/1026/S(26-5966)

  • Product Type: FITNESS TRACKER

  • Approval Date: 16/10/2026

  • Expiry Date: 15/10/2027

Connecting the Dots: What We Know So Far

This SIRIM entry isn’t the first time the SM-R391 model number has surfaced.

A few months ago, the exact same model number passed through the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) certification database. That regulatory filing revealed that the Galaxy Fit 4 will support Bluetooth 5.4, an upgrade over the Bluetooth 5.3 chip found in the Galaxy Fit 3.

Recent leaks and app teardowns (Via Notebookcheck) also give us a good picture of what to expect:

  • Design: It keeps a familiar look similar to the Galaxy Fit 3, featuring a rectangular AMOLED screen with rounded corners and a single navigation button on the right edge.

  • Color Options: Reports reveal Samsung plans to offer the Fit 4 in three distinct colors: Black, White, and Light Blue.

  • Sensors & Connectivity: It continues the focus on budget-friendly fitness tracking with heart rate and sleep monitoring. Like its predecessor, it is expected to rely on a connected smartphone for GPS.

What This Means

When a wearable completes regional regulatory approvals like SIRIM and the FCC, it usually means Samsung is finalizing retail rollout plans. With certification now secured in Malaysia, an official announcement from Samsung shouldn’t be too far away.
