If you spend enough time digging through online databases, service logs, and back-end listings, you eventually start finding clues about what manufacturers are working on behind the scenes. Today, while digging through online records, I came across a fresh entry for an unannounced flagship device: the Polar Vantage V4 multisport watch with Advanced Metrics.

The listing popped up directly within a service and repair database. While a service database leak is usually one of the earliest signs that a company is preparing hardware for future maintenance, support, and eventual launch, it is worth noting that we haven’t seen any official regulatory filings for the device just yet.
Even without an appearance on global certification sites yet, finding a trace in a service portal gives us a solid hint that Polar’s next-generation endurance watch is moving through the pipeline.
What to Expect From the Vantage V4
Polar’s Vantage series has always targeted serious endurance athletes, multisport racers, and outdoor runners. Following up on the Vantage V3, fans and gear analysts have been waiting to see how Polar plans to counter heavy competition from Garmin, Coros, and Suunto.
While the service database listing doesn’t give away full spec sheets or hardware photos, database leaks like this typically precede official announcements by a few months as companies quietly set up internal infrastructure for customer care, repairs, and replacement parts.
Keeping Eyes on the Databases
As of right now, official regulatory filings from agencies like the FCC or Bluetooth SIG haven’t dropped for the Vantage V4. However, these types of database appearances rarely happen in isolation. I’ll be keeping a close eye on global certification bodies and tracking firmware logs for any further signs of the watch.
Stay tuned, and I will keep updating as soon as more concrete details or regulatory documents emerge.
