Now, fresh regulatory updates from both Singapore and Malaysia give us the complete picture: Suunto is officially preparing to launch the Suunto Race 3 and Suunto Race 3S.
Update: Confirmed: Model OW266 Is Indeed the Suunto Race 3
The Paper Trail: From IMDA to SIRIM
The investigation started with new updates in Singapore’s IMDA database, which listed a new model under the identifier OW266, submitted by EDPLUS PTE. LTD. as an “Outdoor Watch.” The listing classified it as low-power radio equipment, but it didn’t attach the exact marketing name to the product code.
To confirm the branding, I cross-referenced regional regulatory registries and searched Malaysia’s SIRIM database.
The search paid off. A newly approved listing dated August 19, 2026, explicitly connects model code OW265 to its official retail name: SUUNTO RACE 3S (Type Approval Code: RDCX/55N/0826/S).
Connecting the Dots
With model code OW265 confirmed as the Suunto Race 3S, it logically follows that the second model code in the filings—OW266—is the standard Suunto Race 3. Following Suunto’s naming convention, the “S” variant typically denotes a smaller, lighter casing size, while the primary model code represents the full-size flagship edition.
Both models are moving through regional approval bodies across Southeast Asia, indicating an official product announcement should be arriving shortly.
