I have been keeping my eyes on global regulatory databases, and I just found the same device listed in Malaysia.
The upcoming Suunto SHRM2 has officially received approval from SIRIM Malaysia.
This second big certification proves that Suunto is moving fast and preparing for a global launch very soon.

What Could the Suunto SHRM2 Be?
Suunto already has a popular heart rate chest strap (the Suunto Smart Heart Rate Belt). However, many sports brands are now moving toward optical armbands. Polar has the Verity Sense, and Garmin has the HRM-Fit and premium chest straps.
Because the model name starts with “SHRM”, it might stand for Suunto Heart Rate Monitor.
Will it be an upgraded, super-comfortable chest strap, or is Suunto finally dropping a brand-new optical heart rate armband to wear on your forearm or bicep? Optical armbands are becoming a favorite for athletes who hate tight chest straps but still want flawless tracking during heavy workouts.
Launch Is Right Around the Corner
When a device starts showing up in both the UAE (TDRA) and Malaysia (SIRIM) at the same time, it means the hardware is completely ready. The company is just clearing the final legal hurdles before it can start selling it.
