Every morning, I do the same thing: I dive into international regulatory databases, looking for clues about unreleased wearables. It is a slow grind, but today, my digging into the FCC database finally paid off.
I just spotted a brand-new filing from Zepp Health for an unreleased device. The main model number is A2671, and there is also a sister model, A2672.
Upon closer review of the documents, the device is officially classified as a “Smart Sensor.” Based on the shape, the specs, and the timing, I am confident that we are looking at the upcoming Amazfit Helio Strap 2.
Here is everything I managed to uncover from the FCC paperwork.
The Design: A Screenless Tracker
The paperwork explicitly calls this a “Smart Sensor,” which means it does not have a screen. Instead, it is a tracking puck meant to be clipped into a fabric armband or chest strap.
The line drawings in the filing show a small, rounded rectangle. On the back, you can clearly see a circular optical sensor right in the middle, alongside two small metal dots for a magnetic charging cradle. This setup looks identical to the form factor of the original Helio Core tracker.
Inside the Specs
While the outside looks familiar, the internal blueprints give us a clear picture of what the device can do:

The Battery: It packs a 230mAh battery. That is the same capacity as the first generation, so expect a similar battery life.

Connectivity: It relies on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to sync with your phone or watch. There is no sign of onboard GPS, Wi-Fi, or cellular tech here.

Waterproofing: It is rated for 5 ATM water resistance, meaning you can safely take it swimming or push through a rainy race without worrying.
Because the battery and radios are mostly unchanged, Amazfit is likely focusing its upgrades on the actual biometric sensors. We will probably see an updated heart rate and blood oxygen array designed for better accuracy during intense athletic training.
When Will It Launch?
Zepp Health asked the FCC for short-term confidentiality to keep the real photos, internal teardowns, and user manuals hidden from the public.
This privacy request lasts for 180 days from the filing date, meaning the veil lifts in mid-November 2026. However, companies usually drop these requests the moment the product is announced. This tells us that the official launch for the Helio Strap 2 is likely scheduled for late summer or early autumn.
I will keep a close eye on the registry for any fresh updates, but for now, the next gen of Amazfit’s screenless tracker is officially on the map.
